One night, when I was 10 years old, my Dad took me to a Hockey game in Toronto over Christmas break. It was the same time I was visiting my relatives and we wanted to get away from all the commotion that was going on so we left and scalped tickets to a game. It was perfect because they were playing the Florida Panthers; therefore, if Toronto lost I could be still be happy because I live in Florida. It was a win-win situation for me. This was the first Hockey game I went to since two years before, so I was excited to finally go back and get in on the action. The tickets we got were up in the box which was amazing because it was around dinner time and they served us free food and drinks, which just made it way better. We had a quality father and son moment pigging out while watching a Hockey game. The box was awesome because you were sitting on top of the glass looking down, had a perfect view of everything, and the seats were comfy with a ton of room for my legs. My uncle actually met Justin Timberlake in one of the boxes at a Toronto game a few years back.
The game was very entertaining right from the start. Two players got ejected in the first period for fighting. It was awesome! When the players were fighting, the crowd got all excited and into it and so did the players on the ice. It was an incredible scene from the box. After the first period was over it was 2-2, but that was the last bit of glory Toronto had because from the start of the second to the end of the game, Toronto played pathetic. At the end of the second it was 6-2 for Florida. I was not all disappointed because hey, I lived in the state, but I did not really want to start cheering because Toronto is a hostile environment when it comes down to Hockey. The fans on the other hand did not enjoy it at all and even started to boo at the team and try to throw things at the team bench. By half way through the third period people started leaving because it was 8-2 for Florida and Toronto had no chance at coming back. People in the crowd were embarrassed because their team was about to lose to a team from Florida where Hockey is absolutely nothing. My dad and I decided to leave with 5 minutes left to go because we wanted to beat all the traffic, it was late, and we had to drive an hour and a half back to St. Catherines. By the time we got home, it was around 1 a.m. and everyone was fast asleep.
Even though Toronto got dominated in all aspects of the game, except for the first period, my dad and I enjoyed our time together and had a great time watching good old fashion Hockey.

My learning experience
When I was 4 years old, my family and I took our yearly trip in June, to St. Catherines, Ontario to visit my mom’s side of the family. Even though it was a shorter than usual trip, it was a fun trip because I went through many entertaining adventures, but one of those adventures was really bad. It was the night of the first full day we arrived there.
We started off by getting up at 4 a.m. and driving all the way to St. Catherines from Gainesville. When we got there it was 11 at night the same day we left and my parents were exhausted from driving. It was a long 19 hour drive.
The first full day I was there I visited with all my cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. To be honest it was kind of boring because all I cared about at the time was playing and all we did was talk. But that night was when the adventure began. It was around 5 p.m. and my parents had to go out for dinner with my aunt and uncle; therefore, my grandma had to babysit my cousins, Mariah, and I. Well, an hour after my parents left, we were all playing outside till my sister and cousin wanted to watch a movie. As a result, my cousin, Alexa and I stayed outside, but before my grandma went to go put a movie on she told us to stay right there in the toy car and not move. When she said that, it gave us an idea to hide and mess with her, so we did. We hid in bulky bushes; therefore, she would not be able to spot us easily.
When my grandma came out after about 2 minutes, she noticed we were not there and gave a shocked look. I thought she was literally going to go into shock, but for some reason me and my cousin just stayed there and did not move. My grandma started freaking out and looked all over for us. She checked everywhere for us, the house, the entire backyard including the bushes we were in, but they were so thick, she could not get a good look through the limbs. After about 15 minutes of looking, she went inside and called my grandfather to come and help look. He came in about 2 minutes and helped look for us. My cousin Alexa and I were not thinking of how serious this was, so we stayed in our hiding spot. After about 45 more minutes of looking for us, my grandfather finally spotted us. He had a look on his face as if he was going to kill us. All he said was “get inside”. About 5 minutes after we went inside, our parents arrived home. We were in trouble like no other. They yelled at us for about 2 hours and it was way past our bedtime. We had to say sorry to our grandparents and write them a letter on why it was wrong. The last 4 days of the week I was grounded and could not do anything fun. This was an interesting learning adventure for me and my cousin.

My fun trip in Switzerland
When I was 11, my family and I took a fun 4 day trip, during winter break, to Davos, Switzerland. We took a plane from Orlando to Atlanta, then Atlanta to Zurich, and finally, drove the car from Zurich to Davos. I was only in the 5th grade; therefore, was extremely excited to finally get out of North America.
When my family and I got to the hotel for the first time, we checked in and went straight down to the Jacuzzi outside in 0 degrees Farenheight. I remember it felt so cool because my face was freezing while the rest of my body was nice and warm. After the Jacuzzi I remember we went to the hotel for dinner where we had fondue, which I did not really like at the time, but it was ok. After dinner I went to go get my snowboard fit, because the next day we were going to hit the slopes.
The first day I went snowboarding was amazing! I woke up around 9:00 a.m., had a nice breakfast, got dressed, and headed to the train that took us to the base of the mountain. When I got to the top, I could see the entire city of Davos and more. To be honest, I was a little bit nervous because it was the first time I snowboarded in 3 years. If I recall, I think during the first run I fell down about 5 times and I almost took out another person on a narrow passage. But it was ok, because after the exhilarating first run I had, I got use to it again and only fell a couple more times as the day went on. When I got to the hotel later that day I was so happy because I knew I would be able to get into that hot Jacuzzi and relax. After a fun dinner I had with my family, I got back to the hotel and started feeling sore from all the wipe outs I had during the day.
The second day I went snowboarding was a very interesting one. It started off fine because the soreness was pretty much all gone. But later as the day went, I started to feel soreness in my legs and buttocks. The worst part of the trip happened around 3 P.M. I was starting to go down the mountain and I felt my bindings started to get loose, but I thought it was fine so I kept going. Unfortunately that was a mistake on my part because on one of my turns I could not turn because the screw to my binding came off; therefore, I had a fun little wipe out. This caused me and my dad to walk up the steep mountain, while I was sore and tired. This unfortunately ended my snowboarding trip because we were leaving the next day.
This was a fun little trip that was a highlight for Christmas break that year. Even though I had some unfortunate events happen, I still had a ton of fun and learned a lot about Switzerland and Europe in general.
